A few hours ago before the meeting with the council...
Hours passed, and night fell over the pack's territory. The room remained dimly lit, the air growing colder with every tick of the clock. When Adonis finally returned, his expression was grim.
"What did you find?" Don asked, his voice cutting through the silence.
Adonis stepped forward, his face shadowed with exhaustion and anger. "Vampires," he spat. "They've been hunting our kind. Systematically."
Don's eyes narrowed, his muscles tensing. "Explain."
"They're targeting smaller groups – wolves who stray too far from the pack's core. They're efficient, Alpha. They take them without a sound, leaving no traces behind. I found tracks near the southern border, and the scent was faint, but unmistakable. Vampires."
Don's jaw tightened, his teeth grinding audibly. "And the missing wolves? Any sign of them?"
