Audrey:
I lay on my bed wondering where things went wrong.
The idea of Mrs. Marge dying the way that she did was not something that I expected. The day started out very well. I was happy with the way work was going. I didn't expect that things were going to turn the way that they did.
"You need to eat, Audrey." Vladimir said, trying to encourage me to eat for the thousandth time today. The harder he tried, the more resentful I became. All I wanted to do was hide under the blanket, escape the world that I lived in. It was a lot more peaceful this way.
"I'm not hungry, Vladimir." I said, not looking at him.
He sighed and lay by my side, resting his weight over his elbow beside me. He didn't say a word for a few moments, but when his arms wrapped around me, I couldn't help the sob that broke from my lips.
The weakness that I felt, the vulnerability, all the pain, everything just broke out. And I knew that Vladimir saw it.
