I walked around the pack grounds wanting to see how things were going. I wanted to know how they were.
Things were quiet, but after my discussion with Audrey, I knew to give her the privacy that she needed.
Her words played in my head and no matter how much I tried to ignore them, I couldn't bring myself to do so. She was in pain, and I believed that I was the reason behind that pain. That was not something that I wanted for her.
"Do you want to tell me what you did wrong?" Arturo asked, raising an eyebrow at me. "You've been quiet since you came back from school. I expected that you and Audrey would come back as lovers, but it seems to me that you came back being more distant."
