There was no time to exchange pleasantries when he heard Lithe groan loudly.
Zen whipped around and rushed over to his true mate's side; he wanted to be the only face Lithe saw when he reopened his eyes.
"Let go of me," said Lithe while regaining his senses slowly.
"Are you sure, Lithe?" asked Zen, reluctant to let go of him so soon.
"Yes," replied Lithe. "My inner golden wolf will be quiet for now. You don't have to worry, I can take care of myself, thank you very much.
The bear king had been watching them silently, Lithe turned very slowly and looked at him.
It was his fault both he and his inner golden wolf suffered greatly so the look he returned was not a friendly look.
"Stop staring at me like that," snapped Lithe at the bear king.
