Lithe never felt so stressed out in his life, why do all the cheaters use the same excuse?

Is there some manual that they are privy to and failed to share it with the gullible folks like Lithe who would want to arm themselves with the same knowledge. 

They play the blame game and twist things around so that they are always the victim and never at fault.

Clearly, Ash took him for a fool and to think he once trusted this fool so much that he ended up in this predicament.

Alone and cornered, with no one to assist, he was the one being assaulted here yet he was also afraid to call for help.

Afraid of what conclusions the wagging tongues would draw, afraid to have to explain himself to others when this exact situation was what he normally did his best to avoid.

Lithe felt like he failed at life in that moment, as he shoved against Ash's chest hard but the bastard was too heavy to dislodge.
