Light returned.
Somehow the force of the river managed to spit Lithe's body onto the shore.
Where he had laid helpless until something licked his face until he awoke. .
The feeling of a wet tongue with saliva dribbling off of it made Lithe finally open his eyes.
He felt fur against his skin but it was nothing like Zen's fur and the color was all wrong.
Wait, there was something on his chest, Lithe didn't even have the energy to brush the furry thing off, he just laid there gaping for breath, his head whirling.
The furry thing moved from his chest, up his neck, to Lithe's face, huge luminous green orbs stared with a curious intensity at Lithe.
Lithe had never seen anything like this tiny fur ball creature in his life, he took one last look at it before he lost his tenuous hold on his consciousness.
