Lithe opened his eyes to find himself dangling from a tree branch.
Before he could even look around much less panic the tree branch broke and he was falling.
His heartbeat raced and he squeezed his eyes shut, if this was how he was going to die, he didn't want to see it coming.
Instead of cold, hard ground he landed in the icy cold waters of a rushing river.
It was a good thing he learnt how to swim in high school as fought his way back to the surface struggling for air.
All around him the dark waters looked foreboding, froth rising sheer from the pounding waves whose tumult threatened to pull Lithe back under as he struggled to stay afloat.
He looked wildly around him, searching the surface of the waters for other survivors but he was all alone.
Lithe laughed hysterically before gasping at what lies ahead of him, he gave himself a small pep talk.
