No one but them were awake; the only sounds they heard was the hum of the plane moving and the wind blowing out of the air conditioner. 

Lithe wondered what the air stewardess was thinking about as from the moment Zen threatened her it felt like she was gone.

Her eyes glazed over and her head lolled to one side almost like an empty doll. 

Even though there were no windows to the outside from the bathroom, time was still passing and it would probably be dawn soon. 

Ever since his inner golden wolf awoke, he had more awareness of time and felt the passage of time on a deeper level now, 

No doubt his golden wolf had many vessels before him and had gone home enough at dawn to know the quality of that kind of unnerving silence. 

The light flickered and he glimpsed some fear in the flight attendant's eyes.
