Their eyes met and Zen swore he got a similar response even though Lithe still looked hesitant and sleepy he felt that Lithe still wanted him too.
He could see the unasked questions in Lithe eyes and Zen's inner wolf urged him to not let Lithe have a change of heart.
Zen needed to act like the dominant alpha he was meant to be; his wolf wanted him to take possession of Lithe before he got cold feet and tried to leave the guest room.
"You're awake. I didn't mean to fall asleep here. I'll go to my bed now," said Lithe.
Earlier when he had helped Zen onto the guest bed Lithe had tried to persuade him to get beneath the covers but he stubbornly refused.
Zen had clearly wanted to remove his pants but had been too exhausted to do so, landed on top of Lithe and sent them both sprawling down on the guest bed.
He had tried pushing off Zen's body to no avail, until he was too tired from the long day, eventually fell asleep too.
