"Stay in here, you treasonous bastard!" The guard yelled as she shoved Simon hard into the dungeon cell. Simon didn't fight back, he merely allowed himself to be tossed around. The guard's force took him to the ground, bruising his knee and elbow, but he didn't seem to care. These injuries were nothing compared to the despair Simon felt at the moment. His entire body was numb, and the only thing hurting in him at the moment was his heart.
"I knew you'd come, I would have been surprised if you didn't." A voice interrupted Simon's thoughts, forcing him to glance to his side and spot Ronald who was seated at the end of the cell, drawing on the damp floor with a twig.
