Ronald didn't get the preferential treatment that Lucian did. He had been sent straight to the dungeons the moment he was captured, and nobody cared to listen to a word he had to say. He wasn't surprised, not even a little bit stunned. He had expected this to be the outcome, it was inevitable, and he very clearly wasn't the prince.
He remained in his prison cell, playing with the insects on the floor, and casually reading the writings that the people who occupied the cell previously had left.
The loud clanging of his prison door pulled Ronald's thoughts away from the writing on the wall and to the visitor he had never expected.
"Father, what a pleasant surprise. I don't think we've had the chance to meet properly for a decade now." Ronald started, his face bright with surprise at the sight of the man before him.
