A knock on the door pulled Lucian away from the bed. He got up, quickly throwing some clothes over his naked body. Simon did the same before walking over to pour a little oil into the only source of illumination in the room. They already knew it was Miriam on the door, she was the only one who knew about this place besides the two of them.
"We weren't expecting you." Lucian said as he opened the door to let Miriam in.
"I brought dinner, you boys haven't had anything to eat since afternoon." She replied before entering the house. There was an uneven tension in the air, and while she noticed it, she really didn't bother about it.
"Thank you," Lucian said, his voice a little strained as he tried to compose himself. He hadn't even realized that they've had nothing to eat until now. He had been so busy with Simon, that he completely forgot about food.
