"Did you hear that our dear younger brother has escaped from home?" Ronald inquired from Edmund as he patched up his wounds. "We're likely to get blamed for it, try not to get captured until he's found. It might not look like it's possible, but right now we're not worth more than a common prisoner to our father. He will kill us without wasting a breath to get his precious son back."
Edmund winced as Ronald tightened the bandage around his arm, the pain a sharp reminder of the recent skirmish they had barely survived.
"Lucian, of all people, running away..." Edmund murmured, disbelief evidently clear in his tone. "Are you playing games with me? That spineless fool wouldn't survive a day outside."
"You underestimate him quite a lot." Ronald remarked before tossing Edmund his shirt. "Lucian is strong, a lot more than you think."
