"Ballister," Kael muttered, feeling a tingling sensation in his fingertips.
With the master-servant bond he shared with the young boy, Kael could feel that Ballister's life was in danger.
"Ballister?" Jacquelyn repeated, looking around to see if the young boy was somewhere nearby. "Did you see him?"
Kael looked down at his hands, then at Jacquelyn's face. "We should head back to the castle."
Jacquelyn nodded, "Okay. We should," she replied, noticing how Kael rubbed his fingertips together. It had been quite a revealing day for her; at first, Jacquelyn was breaking down, but slowly after listening to Kael, she decided to take her life however it came. If she could get over finding out she wasn't sick but locked away, then she could get over just anything, and she knew it.
