Jacquelyn moved closer to Kael, curious to know what he'd remembered about his family. "Are they still alive? Vampires... where are they now?" The curiosity in Jacquelyn's voice and eyes couldn't be quenched even if dipped in cold water.
"Easy there, ferret," Kael chuckled, enjoying the excitement in his woman's eyes, the curiosity to know more about him. "I had a flashback from when I was young... and I saw them..."
Jacquelyn couldn't wait for Kael to finish and interrupted, "Your family? Alive? Are they like you... or here?" She moved her face closer, trying to hear everything Kael had to say, but received a soft flick on her forehead.
"Ow..." Jacquelyn cried, rubbing her forehead. "Why?" she whined with a slight pout.
"I only saw strange faces; who's to say they're not one of my many admirers?" Kael replied, noticing Jacquelyn's shoulders slump in disappointment.
"Admirers?" Jacquelyn muttered. "Why are they in your memory, then?"
