"They really do look like father and daughter," Chaos confirmed, rubbing his nose gently, while everyone else nodded in agreement to his words.
Jacquelyn was still smiling when she remembered something she had felt on Kael the previous night. Her eyes slowly moved down to where her hand had felt, and she swallowed hard. It was looking plain and well-lined. The animal she had felt last night couldn't possibly be hiding there at the moment. Jacquelyn bit her lower lip, her eyes not leaving Kael's trousers at all. She wanted to make sure she saw everything clearly.
It was with Jacquelyn's attention on Kael that she didn't notice him climb down the stairs and come to stand in front of her, now speaking to Griselda.
"A witch?" Griselda gasped, holding her hand over her mouth.
Jacquelyn moved her eyes away from Kael and turned to look at Griselda, who was also looking at her. She quickly waved her hands dismissively.
