[Music Recommendation: Western Nights ~ Ethel Cain]
Earlier...
After washing up and having dinner, Jacquelyn waited for the rest of the day for Kael. He had left with Ballister, and she knew that much because the last time she saw them was just outside the Castle, and since then, they had yet to return.
Now sitting on the couch in the living room, she turned to look at the door every time she heard the slightest sound that she believed to be someone's footsteps. Somewhere at the back of Jacquelyn's mind, she was worried. Worried that Kael would suddenly stop loving her because of the deaths that happened a few days ago. Jacquelyn was sure she had been in bed all night, and she wished she could bring proof for it. Though everyone acted like it was okay, she didn't fully believe them. What if they were now wary of her?
