"Gracious heavens!" A loud scream jerked Jacquelyn up from her sleep. She had tried to stay awake after the nightmare she had last night, but somehow she fell asleep until she heard the loud scream.
Jacquelyn jumped down from her bed, grabbing the first dress she saw when she opened her closet. She ran out of her room, following the voice. Just outside the castle, it wasn't just Jacquelyn who heard the noise; everyone else in the castle, except Layla, was outside.
"What happened!" Jacquelyn asked the moment she stepped out of the mansion. She didn't need to be told, because right in front of them were four dead humans. Jacquelyn quickly recognized the faces of one; it was the same man she saw in her dream last night, begging to be saved.
On seeing the dead bodies, Chaos held his stomach and ran to a corner before he started throwing up.
"Lyn!" Ballister shouted, "Your dress -" he pointed at Jacquelyn's dress, bringing everyone's attention to the girl.
