....Earlier when Ballister and Iva along with Chaos had left Morville Castle in search of Jacquelyn.
While running, Iva had shifted her eyes to her bat form, though her body remained human. In this state, her vision sharpened, allowing her to clearly see that not only were they being pursued by a pack of wanderers, but also by lost souls. Iva abruptly stopped, causing Chaos to bump his forehead into her back.
"Ow! Why did you stop?" he whined, rubbing his face and glaring at Iva. Seeing her changed irises, he gulped and became silent.
Iva ignored him and called after Ballister. "Balli, wait up!" she shouted. When Ballister turned back to his human form, she said, "They're following us."
"Who's following us?" Chaos asked, terrified with the whole situation,but still clinging to Iva.
With a deep frown, Iva pointed. "The wanderers."
