"Sister-in-law!" Chaos shouted the moment he ran inside the gate with Ballister behind him. "Layla, come! I bought things for you! The evil one with red hair, please stay in your room!" the boy chanted as he ran inside the mansion.
Ballister sniffed around the castle before he closed the gate. He wasn't sure how to put it, but something about the air didn't feel right. However, he ignored it, thinking that it was just the lost souls. Since sometimes the lost souls acted up and tended to gather around, disturbing the mansion, especially when they didn't feel Kael's presence.
"Sister-in-law!" Chaos's voice echoed again from inside the house.
Ballister entered the mansion, looking around the room, wondering why Iva and Lyn weren't there to greet them. "Lyn? Iva?" Ballister called, going to check the rooms downstairs first.
He pushed each door open, then called Iva or Lyn's name but was only met with the echo of his own voice.
