Jacquelyn blinked twice, the bottle of soap she was holding slipping from her hand and with a soft splash, it dipped inside the bathtub. She rubbed her chest again and blinked. "I haven't been bitten before."
"Hmm," Iva raised her brows, picking up the bottle of soap. She added the liquid to the sponge and slowly scrubbed the girl's body. "Maybe it's my eyes. I thought I saw holes. Sorry if I scared you." She turned and continued bathing the girl.
Jacquelyn nodded, still confused. She had no memory of how she got the mark, nor did she remember being bitten by anyone. It was disturbing. Everything had apparently started the day she left the witches' lair. Had one of the wanderers bitten her? But Kael hadn't let anyone get close to her that day, as far as she could recall.
