Jacquelyn stood at the end of the hallway still blushing every time Kael turned to look at her, and when he spoke to Ballister while still looking at her. Her cheeks turned even more red. She moved her leg mindlessly on the floor. Most of the people around were already looking at her but Jacquelyn wasn't seeing anyone else except Kael.
"Sister?" Princess Meredith touched Jacquelyn's shoulder gently, when she jerked. The princess bowed slightly, "Sorry if I startled you,"
Jacquelyn finally tore her gaze away from Kael. Her eyes settled on her sister's face, "It's okay, I was just-" Jacquelyn paused, it was then it dawned to her that she was supposed to ask why people had gathered in the hallway.
"Did anything happen? Why is everyone here?" Jacquelyn asked, now fulling seeing the faces of everyone. She noticed some persons were even sobbing quietly by the corner.
