As Jacquelyn and Kael stepped out of the manor, Ballister and Chaos were seen drinking outside with bright smiles on their faces. It was Chaos who noticed Kael first, and he quickly hid the jar of wine behind him, thinking he was about to get scolded.
Ballister noticed this and started laughing.
"Are you tired already? You swore you could drink—" Ballister stopped talking when he followed the boy's gaze. "M-master," he stuttered, dropping his glass of wine.
Chaos cleared his throat. "I didn't drink liquor," the boy muttered, rubbing his finger through his hair. His eyes then fell on the girl close to Kael. He narrowed his eyes and turned to ask Ballister, "Who is she?" Ballister glared at him, hushing him into silence.
"Ballister, get the carriage ready," Kael said in a calm voice. Then, turning to the young boy, he smiled. "Chaos, you're of age to drink now, no need to hide." He started walking, his steps slow but still exuding confidence.
