Watching her sister from the corner of her eye, Jacquelyn felt nothing but real happiness. She had never dreamt that one day, she would be back at home not as a cursed princess but as a sister and a daughter, with her own siblings happy to see her return.
"What about you?" Jacquelyn began when she noticed a dormouse running around beside her. "Shoo... go away," she waved her hand.
Princess Meredith raised her brows. "Where did it come from? We don't usually have these here." After a few minutes, the mouse finally left, leaving the two sisters alone.
"You don't do your training with them?" Jacquelyn asked, smoothing the crinkles that had formed on her sleeves while trying to push the mouse away. She heard Meredith chuckle.
"Actually... I'm, um... married," Meredith replied, rubbing her palms together. "Not just me, all of us are... I mean, that's the reason you were sent to marry King Kael. You were the last unmarried princess."
