When they appeared inside the castle, Jacquelyn felt her knees wobble as they had traveled way too fast. She felt a sickness in her stomach, causing her head to spin. Jacquelyn's grip around Kael's waist tightened, her eyes closed. She was too scared to let go.
"You can let go now," Kael spoke, trying to move away from the girl, but her grip tightened, causing the vampire to let out a tired sigh. Slowly, he was getting used to the girl's body around him, to the point that he no longer felt the urge to throw her away.
Jacquelyn inhaled deeply before slowly moving away from the vampire, but her balance was still unsteady. She almost fell back, but Kael was quick to catch her.
