"Friends and Family," Lucia began with a smile, "We are gathered here today to join together Lord Ryver Larkyn and Lady Iva Church."
Rune raised his hand, "Valois, Iva Valois."
Iva smiled proudly, happy to have her own family and brother stand up for her.
Lucia cleared her throat and corrected, "Lord Ryver Larkyn and Iva Valois as husband and wife, in the presence of friends and family."
"Let's have the groom read his vows."
Ryver rubbed his palms together, then he took a step closer to Iva and took her hands.
"My vows to you, my beloved," he began, staring into her eyes. "Iva, from the moment I met you, I knew you were different. Our first meeting was a mess, but your fiery spirit drew me in. I was a broken man, lost and drowning in my own darkness, afraid to face my own shadow. But you... you came into my world. You saw something in me that I didn't even see in myself." He rubbed his thumb on Iva's wrist and continued.
