Jacquelyn sat outside the castle with her knees pressed to her chest, Griselda's words repeating in her mind over and over again.
At that moment, she missed Kael even more. She wanted to stay beside him, it felt strange for both of them to be apart. She'd grown so attached to Kael that, right now, she felt like a part of her was missing. The castle was empty without him, Kael was Morville, his presence, Everything.
Kael is dying.
Jacquelyn shook her head. She didn't want to think about that. They brought Chaos back; bringing Kael back wouldn't be difficult, Jacquelyn thought to herself.
She looked up, staring at the dark, starry sky. She didn't know why, but it made her sad. When a tear slipped from her eyes, Jacquelyn looked away from the sky.
