The news of Chaos returning to Morville had reached Lord Ryver's manor, and the next morning they were in the castle.
Chaos and Rune had returned inside the castle after Ballister had sneaked out to let them back in the previous night. Jacquelyn and Iva prepared the table for breakfast, while Kael sat at the head of the table, watching Jacquelyn closely when their visitors arrived.
Ballister was the one who opened the door for them, and Layla's tiny scream barely shook the castle.
"Piper boy!"
Layla jumped down from her father's body, her tiny legs running towards Chaos as she jumped up and down, raising her hands for a hug.
