Inside Adele's cave, Iva paced back and forth, stopping at intervals to see if anything had changed in the circle. The sun was beginning to set, and soon it would be midnight. The young woman was worried.
Even with the silence in the room, Iva's heavy boots still disturbed the chilling quiet. She turned to look at the witch, who calmly sat on the ground with her legs folded. Adele flipped through a parchment with deep interest, and this annoyed Iva so much.
"Where are Lyn and Kael?" Iva asked. "Why are they not back?"
Adele paused for a moment, scanning through the parchment as though she didn't hear Iva. Then, finally, she raised her face. "They're still in Charon's land. If they're yet to return, it means they have either not seen Chaos, or he refused to remember."
