With the darkness that blinded Iva momentarily, she had closed her eyes, and when the light returned, she opened her eyes and saw an empty circle without Jacquelyn or Kael.
"Where did they go?" Iva asked, running towards the circle. "Where are they?"
Adele raised her hand, "Don't move! Don't get close to the portal." she exclaimed, causing her bird to shriek. "The border is still open; you might get trapped there forever, and I might not be able to see where you are."
Ballister ran towards Iva and pulled her back, but he stared at the witch suspiciously. He was also worried about his master and Lyn.
"Then what about Lyn?! And my brother?" Iva asked again, this time ready to attack the witch. She was sure she had seen them standing there earlier and suddenly not anymore.
Adele pointed at the empty circle, "They are there... in Charon's land. They will have to find Chaos and get him to remember his life here before midnight."
