During breakfast, the table was silent, but there was a subtle passing of glances and suppressed laughter, especially when Ryver or Rune tried to reach for something at the same time.
Earlier, Ryver had refused to join for breakfast since he wasn't used to sharing a table, but later he decided to and coincidentally ended up sitting close to Rune. It was like someone had planned to make a joke during breakfast.
"Ehm," Jacquelyn cleared her throat, then continued eating. She wanted to laugh at Rune so badly but kept her calm.
"Water," Layla pointed at the cup close to her. When she tried to reach for it, Ryver stopped her and stretched his hand, at the same time Rune, who was also trying to look like a good older brother, also went for the cup.
