Jacquelyn could feel her heart beating very fast; she was going against Kael's order about not listening to Adele, but if it meant saving him, then she wanted to try.
"The witch didn't say so, she just asked that we come to see her, and you know where she is." Iva replied. She could feel the tension from Jacquelyn with the way her hands were trembling.
Jacquelyn pressed her lips; she tried to remember where Adele lived. It was a cave, but she didn't know if she could remember the road that led to it.
"You do remember, right?" Iva asked when she saw the confused look on Jacquelyn's face. "Please tell me you remember, Lyn."
Jacquelyn brought her hands down to her side; she paced back and forth, trying to think about the road that led to the vesper witch's cave.
"It was a cave," Jacquelyn tapped her finger on her lips. "Isolated, all alone. Looked scary."
Iva dropped her shoulder. "That leads us to nowhere," the young woman sighed.
