Touching the ground, Iva watched as the hem of her trousers got drenched in the rain, and she grunted.
"Ugh, so much for clearing my thoughts under the rain," she tried to squeeze the water out by herself.
Ryver followed her movements. He had wanted to ask if something happened while she was on the tree, but seeing her all drenched in rain, he decided to let it go.
"Is the rain even going to stop tonight?" Iva muttered. She raised her face and, for a quick moment, glanced at the tree. If what the vesper witch told her was true, then there was a way of saving Chaos. What Iva didn't understand was what she said about Kael.
And now with Ryver, Iva didn't know if it was right to tell him. Maybe the witch didn't want anyone to know yet.
"There's an abandoned shed over there; we can wait." Ryver pointed out. He started running but noticed Iva lagged behind. He stopped and stretched out his hand for her to take.
