[Music Recommendation: Honey Tea ~ Alex Blue]
As they departed the Church mansion, Griselda's wails and soft sobs pierced through the air. The woman couldn't bear to leave Jacquelyn behind, still holding onto the hope that Jacquelyn was waiting for them. Wriggling free from Iva's grasp, she ran to stand before Kael. Despite her weak knees, she knelt down.
"Please... don't leave Lyn behind. You promised to protect her; she's your bride. She wouldn't give up on you," Griselda begged, her shoulders slumped in dejection.
Iva rushed to Griselda's side, as she tried to help her stand. "Grisie... you saw what happened in there. The demoness might harm Lyn if we try to use force, and what if Lyn is no longer..." Her voice faltered. If Iva had not witnessed the demon killing Valerie without batting an eye, maybe she would have agreed with Griselda. But now...she wasn't sure if Jacquelyn was still there.
