That night everyone in Morville Castle quietly went to bed. Thinking about what had just happened earlier, it was too hard to know exactly who was lying and speaking the truth. Because of this, none of them noticed that Griselda hadn't returned the previous night.
The next morning, Jacquelyn woke up very early. She had been worried all night about both Ballister and Chaos. If Kael was right and there was an imposter, then what about the real person? It meant that either way, a life was in danger. She washed her face and dashed out of her room, looking for Ballister.
When she saw the boy, he was sitting outside with his back facing Jacquelyn.
Jacquelyn stood there for a moment, then cleared her throat.
Ballister jerked up when he heard someone's voice, letting go of what he was holding. The white rabbit jumped out and ran back into the forest.
"Lyn," Ballister stood up, rubbing his palms together.
