She had been waiting for Huo Shenting in the afternoon, so she didn't have dinner. She was busy dealing with matters from the Ye Corporation at noon and didn't eat much. She hadn't felt any hunger while absorbed in thought, but now that she lay down, her stomach couldn't hold out any longer.
She bit her lip lightly, contemplating getting through the night without eating and looking forward to breakfast the next morning.
The man beside her chuckled softly and rose, lifting the blanket. He placed a hand on her shoulder and pulled her toward him so she faced him.
"Didn't eat dinner?"
Ye Shu pursed her lips as she saw the man's earnest gaze and mustered a faint smile, "Have you eaten?"
Huo Shenting rubbed her head gently, his expression tender.
"No."
After settling everything, he had rushed to the restaurant to find Ye Shu, but she had already left.
