Ye Shu's lips curled slightly as she looked towards the figure hiding in the corner outside the door.
"Let Grandma help me with that."
Mrs. Ye Sr. heard Ye Shu mention her name and saw her looking in her direction, immediately turning and scurrying away.
She was not yet seventy years old, and her legs were still nimble; she used the walking stick because it made her appear more like a venerable old lady.
Ye Wenzhao looked towards Ye Shu, saw nothing unusual, and then looked at Ye Shu, puzzled.
"Xiao Shu, your grandma just arrived in city G the day before yesterday. Though she's a bit greedy as a country person, she wouldn't take your mother's belongings."
Ye Shu nodded, her lips curling into a slight smile as she said, "Grandma wouldn't, but others might."
Ye Wenzhao took a deep breath, suddenly thought of something, and quickly left Ye Shu's office.
Ye Shu felt everything around her quiet down as she pursed her lips and withdrew her gaze from the empty doorway.
