She and her assistant returned to Ye Corporation and, upon pushing open the door to the office, she saw Ye Wenzhao rummaging through the cabinets.
At the sound, he abruptly straightened up, his face tense with nervousness.
"Xiao Shu, you're back."
From this angle, Ye Shu could clearly see the twitching of Ye Wenzhao's face caused by his anxiety.
She did not immediately respond to Ye Wenzhao's words, but walked slowly over, placing her briefcase on a sofa nearby, her eyes on Ye Wenzhao's hands as he carefully shut a drawer, the corners of her lips slightly lifted.
"What are you looking for?"
Ye Wenzhao swallowed hard, looking at Ye Shu, and sheepishly replied,
"Nothing much, your grandmother has come from the countryside and wants you to come home. Let's go back together after work."
Ye Shu walked over to the water dispenser, poured a cup of water, and handed it to Ye Wenzhao.
