Su Mu looked at Jiang Bei and, seeing that she was not joking at all, finally looked down at the phone in her hand. The name displayed on the screen was indeed "old house". She adjusted her breathing for a few seconds before pressing the answer button and placing the phone to her ear. When the old lady's voice came through from the other end, Su Mu's eyes reddened almost immediately:
"Susu, why haven't you come back yet? I went to bed early last night thinking you'd come home late, but I just realized you didn't return at all last night. Is it because Xiaobei's issue hasn't been resolved yet? Did you sleep well last night?"
Su Mu bit her lip, wanting to respond but unable to utter a word. In the end, it was Jiang Bei who took the phone and dealt with the grandmother:
"Grandma, it's Xiaobei. Susu is here with me now, but she stayed up late with me last night and she's asleep. I'll have her call you back when she wakes up."
