On the way back, Qiao En encountered Zhou Jin'an.
He had just come out of the company and was hurrying to a social event that evening.
At the traffic light intersection, he sat in his car and looked out the window, spotting Qiao En on the roadside at a glance.
She was alone and looked desolate, walking forward among the crowd, a sight that pulled at the heartstrings.
"Pull over."
Zhou Jin'an glanced at his wristwatch and then spoke to Cheng Lu.
The car stopped at the next intersection, and Zhou Jin'an opened the door and walked towards Qiao En against the flow of traffic.
She didn't notice him, completely immersed in her own world.
"Qiao En."
Zhou Jin'an opened his arms and suddenly enveloped her in a hug.
The bustling crowd seemed to fade away until only he and she remained.
Qiao En was startled.
She looked up and saw Zhou Jin'an's eyes shining brightly like stars as he gazed at her.
His sudden appearance filled her with joy.
"Mr. Zhou, why have you come?"
