"Xu Yayun, is that right? You've finally woken up. How are you feeling now?"
The doctor, clad in a white coat, stood at the side of Qiao En's hospital bed and asked kindly.
Qiao En felt as if she were emerging from a dream; she was still alive, not dead.
She moved her eyes around, taking a quick glance at her surroundings before she realized she had returned to a place she knew all too well.
The white ceiling, the blue-striped patient uniform, and the air filled with the scent of disinfectant.
"Where am I?"
Qiao En's lips were dry, and when she spoke, they cracked slightly.
"Gu Yuan."
The doctor flipped through her medical records. "A week ago, you were brought in here due to a car accident and have been unconscious ever since. The good news is, you've saved your life, but there's bad news, two pieces of it, in fact. Which would you like to hear first?"
