Zhou Ruoki ran very fast, and by the time Cheng Zhiwei gave chase, his figure had already disappeared.
She stood anxiously in the corridor.
Zhou Lin had already walked over to her side and, seeing her concern, soothed her, "Let him have some quiet time."
Cheng Zhiwei hung her head, lost and distraught, "He still won't forgive me."
Tears filled her eyes.
Zhou Lin looked towards the end of the hallway with a cold expression on his face; he knew where Zhou Ruoki might hide but figured that if the boy didn't want to see Cheng Zhiwei, then so be it.
Why bother looking for him.
"Are you really okay?" Cheng Zhiwei was still worried, wanting to find Zhou Ruoki, yet looking left and right, she didn't know where to start.
"All the exits on this floor are guarded; he won't be able to run away, don't worry."
Zhou Lin reached out to take her hand but thought better of it, settling for holding her wrist and pulling her back the way they had come.
