Cheng Zhiwei sat beside Zhou Lin, enjoying his attentive care. Zhou Lin mingled in conversation while also taking care to serve Cheng Zhiwei, whenever she showed a liking for a dish, he would invariably give her a few more bites, and when she was nearly done eating, he would even serve her soup.
Cheng Zhiwei quietly ate and, after a while, stood up and said, "Ah Lin, wait here for me, I'm going to the restroom."
"I'll accompany you," Zhou Lin said as he stood up.
"No need, I can go by myself," Cheng Zhiwei smiled softly and spoke in a low voice, "You know how it is with pregnant women, always needing to use the bathroom. I'll be back quickly."
Zhou Lin gestured to summon the He family's servant, softly saying, "Be safe."
"Okay," Cheng Zhiwei answered and left, holding her belly.
When Cheng Zhiwei came out, the servant was nowhere to be seen. She thought about it but did not return to Zhou Lin; instead, she went to the window.
