Fu Shiyan stepped out of the sea of roses and found some ribbons on a wooden table nearby. He chose a cream-colored ribbon to tie the bouquet of roses together.
He walked up to An Yan and asked in a low voice, "Do you like it?"
An Yan nodded, "I like it, but, you see, it's not as much as the 999 roses you had Assistant Han send me that night."
Fu Shiyan was surprised, "When did you find out?"
"Assistant Han mentioned it unintentionally the other day. Otherwise, I would have had no idea about that."
An Yan's twinkling eyes blinked, "So were you particularly jealous at the time?"
Fu Shiyan thought back to how Han Yang excitedly described the situation, wishing he could dock ten years of his bonus.
He chuckled, "How could I be? I trust you."
An Yan let out a meaningful "oh."
