Lu Chenyuan had a servant pour a cup of hot water, his long fingers gathered at the rim of the cup as he walked over to Gu Yi.
"Won't you have some cake?"
Gu Yi's bad mood was dispelled by Lu Chenyuan's sudden concern.
"I don't feel like eating. Chenyuan, won't you blame me? I was so harsh on her today, I was just too upset."
Lu Chenyuan took the blanket that was on Gu Yi's legs, and in a very soft voice, asked, "Upset about what?"
"It's all because of her that I have become like this. Anyone else wouldn't easily forgive, look at her attitude in apologizing, so reluctant, I don't understand what she has to feel wronged about."
Lu Chenyuan chuckled softly, leaning in close with his deep eyes fixating on Gu Yi; at such proximity, Gu Yi only felt her heart racing, unaware of the impending danger.
Lu Chenyuan stared at her for a moment, then his hand holding the glass loosened.
