129. Night of Revelry
Before he finished speaking, a heavy punch fiercely struck his face. The Frost-Plated glasses guy's spectacles flew off immediately. He staggered, and before he could steady himself, the outsider youth he was arguing with rushed up and kicked him, causing him to fall to the ground.
"What are you doing? You can't just hit people no matter what!"
"I'm hitting you ungrateful Frost-Plated bastards!"
"Ungrateful? Du Zexin is also a Frost-Plated man! You're the one who can't tell right from wrong, you bastard!"
"Screw you!"
As the fight escalated, it ignited the surrounding powder keg.
Calming down from the joy of escaping, the national conflicts and hostilities between the Frost-Plated and outsiders resurfaced.
Especially concerning the issue of Omega Energy—the Frost-Plated people, though having a large wealth gap, grew up in a capitalist environment, heavily self-centered and particularly concerned about their own gains and losses.
In their view, they didn't pay or beg Li Aozi to save them. Since Li Aozi chose to save them, he didn't expect a reward. Therefore, reclaiming what was originally theirs, the Omega Energy, was only natural.
Outsiders, on the other hand, though more fierce and selfish, were much simpler in their thoughts.
If you saved my life, there's nothing more to say. Forget about a reward, if you want me to die for you, even take a bullet, it's not impossible. In the outside world, nothing is more important than this. Friendship and loyalty are more important than contracts.
Moreover, in their eyes, Li Aozi, who could annihilate the bio-cyborg and the infamous Abyss Humanitarian Relief, freeing them from death and enslavement, was a living legend.
Some even picked up Li Aozi's scavenger coat. As one of the three great organizations of the outside world, the scavenger's image was deeply rooted in people's hearts. Instantly, Li Aozi became a hero in the hearts of outsiders. Some even claimed that Li Aozi was "the greatest outside world hero since the anaerobes."
The outsiders were not in the majority, and there were also elderly and women among them. On the Frost-Plated side, the former infected were mostly lower-class males, and in a fight, it wasn't clear who would have the upper hand.
Just moments ago, both sides were happily chatting and celebrating freedom, but quickly turned to confrontation and insults, with some even starting to fight. Some grabbed benches and pipes, gradually escalating into a full-blown brawl.
Li Mu, timid by nature, felt emboldened by the slogans shouted by the outsiders, gaining endless strength from the collective.
But he wasn't eyeing the Frost-Plated men; instead, he looked at the slightly plump Frost-Plated woman ahead of him, with her head hanging down, dressed thinly. Though not pretty, her mature body still exuded an enticing aura.
At this moment, the restroom door opened. The person inside, seeing their compatriot being beaten, immediately called out and rushed in, giving the outsiders a beating.
Li Mu licked his lips, approached the woman with her head down, and pressed closely against her. Thinking of Gina flirting with the Frost-Plated guys outside filled him with nameless anger.
Seizing the moment as the woman entered the restroom, he followed her in, locked the door, and pinned the Frost-Plated woman against the restroom wall, biting her shoulder and tearing off her thin clothes.
"Let me teach you Frost-Plated bastards a lesson!"
Unable to join his fellow outsiders in the fight, bullying a woman seemed like a consolation.
After all, Frost-Plated men were bullied by their own women, so he felt triumphant over them, thinking they might even thank him.
While cursing, Li Mu's hands roamed all over the woman's body, but no matter what he did, Gina's silhouette and smile wouldn't leave his mind.
He thought he was in love with Gina, that this impulsive act was a mistake, but whenever he tried to replace the woman's face with Gina's, he realized something—this Frost-Plated woman, for some reason, kept her head down, barely resisting, if at all, making him feel less satisfied.
"You bitch! Who do you think you are, not even looking at me?"
He raised his hand, pinched her chin, and lifted her face. The woman's beautiful black hair parted, and a distant flash of lightning illuminated her skin—Li Mu immediately noticed a clear red cross-shaped scar on her neck, like a burn mark, particularly striking.
The Frost-Plated woman stepped back, raising her hand to cover her face.
Li Mu glanced, thinking she must be disfigured, which would make it more satisfying to humiliate such an ugly woman:
"Too ugly to show your face, huh?"
He said, forcefully prying away her arm covering her face.
Clang clang—
The armored train entered a tunnel, plunging the carriage into deeper darkness.
The restroom door opened, and Li Mu walked out refreshed. He quietly closed the door and passed through the crowd.
Bzzz—
The train emerged from the tunnel, lightning suddenly illuminating the carriage environment again.
People continued to fight, curse, and argue, paying no attention to the short outsider boy passing through the chaos.
Rumble—
The rolling thunder came late, startling Gina and Hodro guarding the rear of the train.
"So scary," Gina murmured timidly, "A natural disaster seems to be coming. Can we make it through?"
As she spoke, her body unconsciously leaned towards the sturdy Hodro.
"Don't worry, the train's engine alone weighs dozens of tons, plus the steel armor, no wind can move it." Hodro said with a smile. Feeling Gina's closeness, his face also reddened, and he subtly moved his shoulder closer to offer support.
Gina, sensing this, reached out her fingers to grasp Hodro's large hand.
"Yeah."
Suddenly, a male voice sounded from behind, startling Hodro and Gina. They quickly separated, blushing, and turned to see who it was. Gina sighed in relief:
"You scared me, it's just you, Li Mu."
"Cough, appearing suddenly, caught us off guard."
"I was just a bit scared of the lightning, yeah, that's all..."
They hurriedly explained, while Li Mu just smiled.
"Okay, I believe you."
Crack!
Terrifying lightning tore through the sky, the cold blue-white light illuminating Li Mu's upper body. Hodro glanced and clearly saw a scarlet mark on Li Mu's neck.
The red cross-shaped scar, like a burn mark, was particularly striking.
Before he could think further, the next moment, thunder roared, and rain poured down.
The storm had arrived.
