"Be careful, Elowen. Your brother is weak." Marigold muttered, concern evident on her face.
"Hmph. You just want to hog my brother to yourself." The girl said while snorting. She had the same wavy auburn hair as Marigold did, as did her eyes. She looked like a younger version of Marigold.
"Oops, looks like I got caught." Marigold said jokingly, and she then patted the bed beside her, gesturing for her daughter to sit beside her.
Elowen slowly moved, not wanting to startle her younger brother.
'Who is this woman?' Lucien thought as he gazed at her intently.
'By the looks of her hair and her face, she must be my older sister.' He concluded.
'Sorry, sister, but I very much like to be with mom.' He said that and started making noises, but what was heard was a baby's cry.
*Waah Waah*
Marigold swiftly took Lucien from her daughter and started gently swaying him, calming him down.
"Mother, why did you take him back?" Elowen asked, annoyed by her brother being taken away.
"Sorry, dear, your brother was crying. I think he found himself with someone not familiar to him and started crying." Marigold said it in a gentle way, trying not to hurt her daughter.
"Hmph," Elowen snorted and began sulking.
"Fufufu, my daughter is so cute!" Marigold complimented and pinched her daughter's cheeks.
A smile bloomed on Elowen's face at her mother's compliment. She snuggled closer to her mother and asked, "So, what is my little brother's name?"
"Lucien"
"Did father name him?" Elowen asked, curious about her brother's name.
"Yes." Marigold nodded her head, agreeing.
"It suits him, I think."
'Looks like my guess was correct; she really is my sister.' Lucien mumbled inwardly as he looked at the mother-daughter pair.
'Well, I will think about what I should do later.' He said, feeling the weight of his eyelids, and slowly drifted off to sleep.
Marigold, noticing her son fall asleep, smiled and said, "Your brother is asleep, Elly. I am going to sleep too. Want to sleep beside me?"
Elowen blushed heavily at her question. She would always think back on the times when she would sleep beside her mother. Nowadays, she couldn't since she had joined the academy.
Elowen nodded immediately and said, "Yes."

A few days had gone by, and Lucien completed his daily quests without fail and accumulated 3.6 points.
