Fu Yanye walked to her side, making eye contact with her through the mirror.
Zhuo Jian noticed he was unhappy and asked, "What's wrong?"
"Yes! My wife always dines with my rival, and I'm quite upset!"
Fu Yanye's dark eyes stared straight at her, his words clear and bold.
Zhuo Jian's heart jolted, but then she smiled and continued to wash her hands before tearing off a piece of paper to dry them.
Seeing her so composed, Fu Yanye finally frowned and moved behind her, gently turning her shoulder to face him.
Zhuo Jian dried her fingers one by one, then tilted her head up, her soft gaze meeting his intense one, her voice even softer, "I am a married woman, and I am aware of that."
"Aware of what?"
Fu Yanye asked her.
"As long as you don't fool around outside, as your wife, I will never carelessly fall for another man."
"..."
Zhuo Jian spoke seriously, but Fu Yanye frowned.
She always liked to explain things clearly to him now, but it seemed a bit too impersonal.
