Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 Fu Yanye Says He Doesn't Mind Her Being Dirty

Zhuo Jian found him stomach medicine, boiled some hot water, and brought it to him. "Are you okay?"

"Help me dig it out, I don't have the strength!"

He groaned in pain, asking her to help him get the medicine.

Zhuo Jian unconsciously took another look at him. "Stretch out your hand!"

Fu Yanye obediently stretched out his hand.

Zhuo Jian pinched out a pill and placed it directly in his hand.

Fu Yanye smiled. "Which one of us is the clean freak?"

"Obviously, it's you!"

As she spoke, she grabbed another cup of water, this time placing a tissue under the cup.

What do they call it when you have a problem and don't even know it?

Some aversions are unconsciously expressed.

His obsession with cleanliness had once been so severe that he absolutely refused to touch anything others had touched.

"Help me up!"

Fu Yanye instructed again.

Zhuo Jian was initially squatting in front of him, hesitated at his words, but seeing his poor complexion, she had no choice but to help him up.

She didn't know how to help; she still remembered how, as a child, she had suddenly hugged him, and he had ignored her for a whole half-year.

Fu Yanye saw her delicate, jade-like hands seeming unsure of where to place them, and took the initiative to grab them and place them on himself. "How can I get up if you don't help me?"

"Oh!"

She awkwardly agreed, sitting behind him and pushing him up by his shoulders.

His body heat mingled with hers through the thin fabric of his shirt, heating up her heart as if it were water just boiled...

Fu Yanye weakly leaned on her slender shoulders, placing the pill in his mouth.

Zhuo Jian immediately picked up the cup and brought it to him.

"I don't mind your dirtiness!"

Fu Yanye looked at her, his low and slightly hoarse voice telling her.

Zhuo Jian chuckled guiltily, thinking whether you disdain yourself or not is still unclear.

He did not take the cup but held her wrist, raising it to his lips.

He swallowed the medicine, but Zhuo Jian felt her wrist going numb.

"I carried you on my back when we were kids, remember?"

"..."

He had carried her back then, but stopped after the incident where she hugged him.

Zhuo Jian did not respond. Seeing that he had finished his medicine, she intended to leave, but he leaned heavily on her shoulder, pinning her in place.

An ambiguous atmosphere suddenly emerged in the air; she pursed her lips silently, softly reminding him, "Mr. Yanye, I should head back to the hospital!"

"I'll take you!"

"No need! You're not well, rest up!"

Zhuo Jian quietly refused, turning her face away.

"But it's so late, a young lady like you, I am worried!"

Fu Yanye said.

Zhuo Jian inadvertently glanced at the divorce agreement on the table and could no longer hold back. "Why haven't you signed it yet?"

"A divorce needs the household registration book, do you have one?"

"..."

Back when her family encountered troubles, fearing she'd be implicated, her father negotiated with the Fu Family and moved her registration to their household registration book, so she didn't have it.

"I'm not even sure I can take out the registration book."

Fu Yanye said, massaging his temples.

Zhuo Jian felt that if he kept leaning on her like this, her shoulders would be crushed in a few minutes.

"Why don't you go take a shower?"

Fu Yanye suddenly looked at her dress, still the one from last night.

Zhuo Jian froze, her cheeks turning red.

"What are you thinking about? You've worn these clothes for twenty-four hours! Go take a shower and change."

Especially since he thought about Su Bai having held her, he became even more eager to get off her and collapsed beside her, staring at her to hurry up.

"Alright then!"

She indeed needed a shower and a change of clothes, feeling cold in her dress tonight.

It was early autumn in September, with a significant temperature difference between day and night.

But where could she go for a shower?

"Um, can the bathroom downstairs be used?"

Zhuo Jian asked him cautiously, pinching her dress.

"Feel free to use the master bedroom!"

"..."

As Zhuo Jian climbed the stairs, she wondered, had his obsession with cleanliness been cured?

Just the night before last, he had actually showered in the bathroom she had dirtied.

The more Zhuo Jian thought about it, the more puzzled she became. She took off her skirt, folded it, and placed it aside, only to realize the door was still open. Just as she was about to close it, she froze.

Fu Yanye stood outside the door and said lightly, "We're even now!"

"..."

She had seen him the night before last as well; so, to him, was this 'even'?

But she hadn't intended to see him, whereas he had just now stared at her openly, clearly having looked for quite some time.

Zhuo Jian suddenly felt angry and finally remembered to close the door.

Soon after, Fu Yanye said from outside, "Someone called you, claimed to be your senior, and asked you to call him back after your shower."

"..."

Zhuo Jian stared incredulously at the door, what did that mean?

Had he answered her phone?

And told someone she was taking a shower?

Zhuo Jian quickly cleaned herself up but then remembered that her luggage was downstairs, and all her clothes were in the suitcase.

Haha!

She looked down at her skinny, frustrated self, suddenly feeling very annoyed.

What exactly was going on?

"I've put clothes next to the bed; I'll wait for you downstairs!"

Fu Yanye's voice rang out again from outside.

This time, Zhuo Jian breathed a sigh of relief. Hearing the door close outside, she cautiously peeked out to make sure no one was inside the room before stepping out.

But, why another dress?

In total, there were only three dresses in Zhuo Jian's suitcase. She had worn one, leaving two. Couldn't he see the many pants and shirts?

Nevertheless, it was better than nothing.

She quickly changed and went downstairs.

Fu Yanye was still sitting on the couch, one hand supporting his head and the other pressing his stomach.

Zhuo Jian's steps slowed: "Are you still feeling uncomfortable?"

"Yeah, I might need to go to the ER!"

Pain spilled from Fu Yanye's voice.

"Then let's hurry!"

Upon hearing this, Zhuo Jian immediately nodded in agreement. Everything could wait, but not illness.

He had developed a stomach issue a few years back, and recalling how her mother had narrowly escaped death, she hoped he wouldn't face any danger.

Her luggage had been messed up by him, clothes scattered all over. Zhuo Jian quickly went to tidy it up.

"Hmm!"

He suddenly groaned again.

Zhuo Jian looked up worriedly: "Does it hurt a lot?"

"Can you tidy this up tomorrow? It hurts a lot!"

"Well, okay then!"

Nothing was more important than life.

The two hurriedly locked the door and left, with his face pale all the way.

The more Zhuo Jian looked at him, the more worried she became, unable to resist comforting him: "Hang in there; we'll be at the hospital soon."

Fu Yanye, with downcast eyes, stared at the girl hugging her own arms, feeling an unprecedented contact and couldn't help but peek down her V-neck.

Zhuo Jian, preoccupied with everything else, only realized the predicament when they reached his car, and she asked him distressedly, "What if I don't have a driver's license?"

"I'll drive!"

"..."

Zhuo Jian felt bad for making him drive with a stomach ache, but there was no other choice.

It wasn't until his phone suddenly rang that 'Ruxiang' across the caller ID made the atmosphere turn strange.

Zhuo Jian suddenly came to her senses, looked at the number, and then back at him.

Fu Yanye had a somewhat cold expression.

Now, it was almost eleven at night; was he being considerate of her?

Zhuo Jian said, "You answer it; I won't speak!"

Subconsciously, Fu Yanye glanced at her, but she had already pressed the answer button for him.

She turned her face away to look out the window, not disturbing him.
