Prince Wesley was astonished, "Work for my father?"
He could not fathom, "What does my father want with her?"
"Moreover," Prince Wesley furrowed his brow, eyeing the assistant with suspicion, "I have never seen you at my father's side."
The man before him had a very typical Eastern appearance, and if he worked for his father, Prince Wesley was sure he would have remembered him.
The assistant gave a faint smile, his voice steady, "If Prince Wesley does not believe me, he may inquire with the King."
Prince Wesley's expression shifted, unwilling to just let a beauty slip through his fingers, but he also dared not delay his father's affairs.
"Fine." Prince Wesley took a deep breath, raised his hands, and made a gesture of concession, "I'll stay out of this matter, and pretend I never saw her today."
The assistant leisurely withdrew his hand from Prince Wesley's shoulder, bowed slightly toward him, "Thank you, Prince Wesley."
